House of Arras, Australia’s preeminent sparkling wine producer, has cemented its world class position after garnering recognition at the 2015 International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) held in London.
The 2002 House of Arras EJ Carr Late Disgorged, the pinnacle of the House of Arras portfolio, was awarded the Denbies Wine Estate Trophy for Bottle Fermented Sparkling Wine, representing the best of the best in bottle fermented sparkling wine craftsmanship, beating out sparkling wines from the UK, Italy, New Zealand and South Africa.
This accolade adds to the stellar streak of local and international wine show success for the 2002 vintage, with six Gold Medals, a Gold Outstanding and Top Gold as well as six Trophies already collected.

This is a wine of great intensity and character, with excellent structural elegance and flavour persistence. After 10 years on lees the wine has amazing complexity, yet retains the remarkable freshness of the character typical of a prestige cuvee. A true expression of Tasmanian terroir and impeccable winemaking – the 2002 vintage is only the fifth release of this wine.
